The vintage beads are made from hardened rubber tree. Trade beads (sometimes called slave beads) were used between the 16th and 20th century as a currency to exchange for goods, services and slaves (hence the name). Made to ease the passage of European explorers and then traders mainly across the African continents, the beads were made throughout Europe. The beads are manufactured in Germany or the Netherlands somewhere between 1890-1910 and has been used as a currency i the European – African trade. Each bead has been inspected and cleaned with ultra sound and finally desinfected with alcohol before we make the bracelet. With: 8 mm
Use a tape measure. Wrap the tape measure around the wrist on which you plan to wear your D.C.I bracelet. To ensure the bracelet fits comfortably, add 1.5 cm.
